We are thrilled to welcome Roberta Mantell to the Indies United Publishing House family! With a rich background as an arts reporter and photographer for The New York Times and other prestigious publications, Roberta brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to her writing.
About Roberta Mantell
Roberta began her journey into fiction after 30 years in journalism, inspired by the works of mystery writer Batya Gur. She now crafts literate mysteries that challenge and delight readers. Her debut mystery, "ANGELS’ BLOOD: Murder in the Chorus," is set in a present-day chorus where an arts reporter investigates the murders of two singers and their connection to a Requiem composed by a forgotten 19th-century woman.
A Life Rich in Experience
An East Coast native, Roberta leads workshops in memoir writing and contributes essays to the website [NYCityWoman.com](https://www.nycitywoman.com). As a dedicated chorus member for over two decades, she has performed at Carnegie Hall and on stages in Beijing, Prague, and St. Petersburg. Roberta currently resides in Manhattan, where she continues to inspire and engage with her community.
