
Readers reported enjoying the story complexity, the depth of character of the protagonist. Angus Mariner, and the many twists and turns. But since most of the readers were from the San Francisco Bay Area, many readers enjoyed the local settings and how parts of the story took place in parts of northern California that they know and love.
