The Great Valley Bookfest

T.E. MacArthur releases latest thriller and signs books at Manteca’s Great Valley Bookfest.

October 12, 2024

Author T.E. MacArthur offered pre-release copies of her latest Paranormal Thriller, The Pillar, to book-hungry crowds at the Manteca-based Great Valley Bookfest. The annual event, dedicated to encouraging literacy, held its 5th festival, welcoming tremendous crowds from all over the San Joaquin valley.

44 booths filled the outdoor mall at the Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, presenting authors, third parties, (such local education, community groups and even the city waste division – complete with garbage truck and recycle collecting robot!) A central stage was set up for shows, announcements, and the Literacy Hero of the Year award. A children’s row and activities area kept the many families with young members fully engaged for hours. For burgeoning authors, a Writers Nook was placed next to the fish pond for presentations and discussions. Poetry too had its own well-attended stage.
